Arabic, Hebrew, and Far East Languages on the Storm
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, here are three thousand words then. The shown here allows viewing Arabic. I have similar solutions for Hebrew and Far Eastern languages as well. For more details check the website in my signature block. I am currently working on the keyboard layout for the languages I support, once I do I will update you guys.

wondering
are you sure, did you have the arabic lang on your STORM?!! since day 1. tell me where did you get your OS from ?? can you share it? and what was your provider?
i have OS 83 and it works fine, but i tried 122 which is far better but without the Arabic Lang.. any help please - 04-22-2009, 10:02 AM #19
all the OSs come with no arabic language. there are some which come with semitic support which can only read arabic and there is a work around for the arabic that can be easily found. i have the .131 installed now with no issues. memory stays around 40 - 43 all time!
just a hint, the arabic is pulled from other OSs for other devices.
i will post screen shots later from home.
but i still want to know what is the difference with the Arabic from GT if he can elaborate. - 04-22-2009, 11:57 AM #20
The same for Hebrew.
I'm on .75 and I can have:
* Storm menu in Hebrew
* read email and websites in Hebrew (I dont need the menu in Hebrew to allow this)
**but, i cannot write in Hebrew.
However, a very helpful person I know suggested OS .114 which does have keyboard in Hebrew to allow for typing.
For those who need Arabic.. you might have a good chance with .114.
(Again, I'm still on .75 and havent yet tried.)
Its too bad Verizon did not request these languages from RIM. - 04-23-2009, 01:06 PM #22
wow that was super quick
leaked OS .132 was just released.
is there any way to create a hybrid and use .132 and have the keyboard working?
im not 100% sure that what im saying is even possible... new to blackberries.
this is very frustrating. i hope the next official coming out will have Hebrew keyboard. - 04-23-2009, 03:26 PM #24
