this may be a stupid question but i was wondering if there was a way to either move applications to the memory card rather than have it in the "application memory"?
asking because I had to delete a lot of things in order to fit the wireless upgrade of the OS, which seemed silly to me considering that i have gigs and gigs of space left on the memory card.

One of the drawbacks of BB OS I'm afraid... you can't do this natively.
There are apps like Aerize that help you store apps on card, but you'd still have to load them to device to run them (IIRC).
