Make sure when you close out of an app you actually close the app and dont keep it running in the background. Kills your app mem. Hopefuly with the S2 this wont be as big of a problem as it is with the S1

Regular battery pulls keep the memory fresh. DL QuickPull if you don't have it yet. That will save the time of manual pulls.

I would suggest you upgrade to a better OS, .151 in the very least. This OS is miles better than .148. There are also many other OSs you can upgrade to, like .230 , which I believe is the best to date. Whether you want to stay on .148 or upgrade I would recommend you shrink your OS.

Definitely this. I noticed a big difference after I left .148. Also Facebook leaks memory like a pro so getting rid of that and pulling the battery will probably help too.

I used to have some big memory issues too, almost always below 5. I upgraded OS to .151 and now it always stays around 30. Huge difference! I have the same apps installed as before.

Speedy is correct. Apps running in the background will kill your memory and battery. Hold down the BlackBerry button and a row of the applications that are running will pop up. There are some apps the run by default, but you will also be able to see all the apps that are running in the background too.

this is a newb question but how to i update to .230, and will it void any warranty

You're not going to void any warranty. If you were to tank, or nuke your phone it is very easy to fix.

    Don't be scared.

    Instructions on how to install.
