.76 is good
Just put it on, not much different than 75 other than its consistent and has not froze, i noticed that it manages memory better. I have the memory up app and it doesnt have near as much memory to clear up as it did with .75

I Personally Dont Feel There Is A Difference Between 75 And 76. Maybe My Device Was Just A Stable Out Of Box Model But It Just Doesent Seem Any Different From Leaked Or Official 75. Just My Observation Though. I Did However Notice My Option Icons In Vvm Were Different. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Who Knew
I be lovin my storm...
I love it like a fat kid loves cake!!!

Can everyone say PLACEBO. Don't get me wrong, I have .76, but it is not what everyone is making it out to be. Yes it is better that .65, but the differences between .75 and .76 are so small that you can't really tell the difference. It is all in your head.
Most people think going from a Storm to a Curve is a downgrade... but in reality going from a Storm to anything is an UPGRADE!!! - 12-08-2008, 06:04 AM #59
I completely wiped my os with jlcmder and installed .76. It definitely seems faster/smoother all the way around.

Key words..."definitely seems faster/smoother".
I'm not trying to bust you out at all, but the use of the word "definite", modified by "seems" is just funny.
.75 versus .76 in a one-on-one test doesn't yield much...trust me.
And no, sorry, I'm not posting a vid. By the time I do, an official VZW .78 version will be out.

yea, based on all the posts re .75 (official and leakeda) vs. .76, it looks like the overall consesus is that there is a slight improvement but it is negligible.
I'm with the old school thinking, if it 'aint broke... so i'm just gonna leave the leaked .75 since it is running fine and wait until the next upgrade for the 9530. - 12-08-2008, 02:21 PM #69
Hey folks. Here's what i just did. I did a wipe using the JL_CMDR and then installed the bell's 4.76. I played around with it as a new virgin machine and I have to say it was slower in making the transitions from portrait to landscape and everything else seemed to be no different than the official .75 that i had been using for 2 days now.
I ended up wiping it clean again and downgrading to VZW offical .75. Back to the way it was.
Has anyone else gone thru this and had the same???? And yes i pulled the battery.. Maybe i missed something... Suggestions or can someone post a video with both the .76 and the official .75 for a comparision?
thanks - 12-08-2008, 03:11 PM #71
Thats about accurate. Although given I only had .75 for maybe 4 days max lol. The only difference I noticed is that .76's accelometer is slightly quicker and it opens apps and mail quicker.
One thing I did notice is that the issue with my keyboard randomly disappearing still existed in .75, I've yet to see this issue in .76 so I'm hoping its gone for good.
That one bug drove me nuts. Is anyone with .76 having the issue of the randomly disappearing keyboard? - 12-08-2008, 03:44 PM #72
