obtain these five programs:
1. uniCDMA Search on google
2. Hexworkshop search on google
3. JL_Cmder search on google
4. File name: 9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel109_PL4.0.0.96_A4.7.0.76_Bell _Mobility.exe (free from BBsite)
5. Blackberry desktop (free from BBsite)

Down grade your blackberry unless you have the same firmware so please check
First thing is first make sure that your blackberry has the following firmware 4.7 (the reason is because the old one has been hacked the memory and length will only
work on the old firmware the new firmware moved the phone code so u must use the old firmware
please check phone at this time and see what firmware you have the one i used was the following
if yours is not the same you can google the file name to download or go to blackberry bell and pick 9530 and download FREE

if you do not have the same firmware download that one first
(Note: this formats your phone same as windows meaning erases everything so backup all your stuff before doing this)
-So please first install all the softwares first
use JL_Cmder to erease current phone firmware (if you need to downgrade)
-open JL_cmder choose the wipe option then follow prompts type blackberrry and let your phone boot till a white screen comes up and says missing operating system
one done close jl_cmder
Install New firmware
pre requisites:
please have the following:
-Blackberry Desktop installed
-this firmware installed 9530AMEA_PBr4.7.0_rel109_PL4.0.0.96_A4.7.0.76_Bell _Mobility.exe
TO install firmware download the file run the .exe and close it
-make sure phone is plugged in and connected open blackberry it will show u if phone is detected if not unplug till its detected
-To install old firmware on your wiped phone:
Navigate to the following Dir:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
-Delete Vendor.xml file there is only one its a few hundered kb
-Next click loader.exe it will open it follow show your phone pin click next and follow the prompts it will give u an option of what to install when downgrading just
select english language and load the fimware as we will re do this step to ugprade to newer firmware after from 4.7 - 5.0 so pick what you want in 5.0
-now after following the prompts the new firmware will be installed 4.7 your ready to find your code now using
unicdma and hexworkshop
1. plug in your storm.
2. Run desktop manager make sure it detects your phone (if it does) / if not unplug till plug it in again till it does it will show your pin and files etc.. when it
does
3. Minimize BlackBerry Desktop Manager and run uniCDMA
4. Select "Qualcomm" under the mode drop menu
5. Click setup and change the port to com4
6. Click read all and it should fill in the boxes on the left with your blackberry information
7. Click memory and change the starting address to 0x17c455be or 0x17c47cce and length to 524288. Click read and save to file.
(note
some people on the forum used this address too
try this one 0x17c2f62e. And change your length to 624288 .. i used the first how ever which worked for me
(NOTE) I used this method on 2 9530 storms one from telus and one from Bell i used this address and length
0x17c455be 524288
this process will help you save a bin file each phone has a unique key and is different
8. Now open Hexworkshop and open the file you just created.
9. In the right box you will see a 6 digit number. That is your MSL password. (look at my pictures on how it looks like) i have noticed that the keys are stored in
the some where in the 2100 Section you will see what i mean (note: you may have to search entire file till you see your numbers mine were in the 2100 section)
10. Unplug your blackberry and call ##XXXXXX (XXXXXX is the MSL password) Press Send
11. Change the Mobile Directory Number to you 10 digit cell number.
12. Press Menu then close and it will reset your phone and you are good to go.
Now since you have retrieved your code you can upgrade your phone again here is how
use JL_cmder wipe phone again the same way as you did earlier it will boot to a no operating system screen
open blackberry desktop it will automatically search online for the latest OS available for your phone 5.0 ver
