    Default accelerometer issues?

anyone else having issues with the accelerometer? mine keeps hanging up... phone works great, but sometimes the orientation sticks and it won't rotate when you want it to or it has a long lag before it spins.

The accelerometer is the only issue I'm having with the phone. The navigation works smoothly and I'm very happy with it.

There should be an app that 'locks' the orientation so the accelerometer would not take up so much battery.

When you pull out the battery maybe??? lol

On a serious note thou, i've also noticed that the accelerometer isnt the greatest.
Its particularly slow when it comes to rotating images.

Although the more you do it (potrait > landscape over and over) the quicker it gets.

Oh well sorry I am running on 2 hours of sleep and playing with my Storm. Umm, also, I just did a device to device transfer from my old Pearl, and now I don't have a browser. How do I fix this?

So far the accelerometer blows but I'm just glad to have the phone. I'm sure it'll be addressed with an update and I will deal until then.

I don't seem to notice any problems with mine. It rotates pretty flawlessly, except of course, when its laying down.

Maybe you're holding it too flat?

nope.. it hesitates or does not rotate orientation while holding it completely vertical. there appears to be a software update already though, so i'm doing that now.

i will do that. after the software update its running much more smoothly, but it has frozen on me once... it started working again, but i got a white screen and it wouldn't unlock the display..

otherwise this phone is freaking awesome.

well apparently pulling the battery out..sorts the lag..but iv only had mine a week..like most ppl and removed the battery many times...still aint affected it.... im going to return mine 2moro for an exchange...

im the UK... so i went to a vodafone (network operator) shop midweek and they said it lags because i kept my applications running in the background...once im done doing what im doing wih an app or sending a message or whatever instead of clicking the back button...im supposed to click the blackberry button and scroll down to ''close''... and now i just realised...wats the point of the back button then? lol

great fone.... works like a gem...the wap is brilliant..but we live in the 21st century... on a fone like this we shudnt need to be removing the bettery or clearing the memory to held aid the device.... it should be flawless.... why else would it be made right?.... its better than the iphone..but iv never encountered problems when using the iphone

    Default Why mine locks

I've noticed that my accelerometer locks in junction with the lock feature.
When I lock my phone in landscape mode and let the screen shut off, then press the lock button again with the phone in portrait mode my phone is stuck in landscape mode. The way to prevent this is to click the screen before you unlock the phone, let the screen orientate itself, then unlock it. Any questions pm me.

My accelerometer locks on my Torch with my Otterbox on. I take off the slider ring and it works. Anyone else have this problem? ATT says it's my Otterbox. It's been on my phone for months and now I have a problem? Yeah right.
