Ive been wanting a storm for quite some time now and i try to keep tabs on ebay for one at a decent price. Lately ive been seeing a lot of the 9530 unlocked for at&t or so the seller claims. I was just wondering if this is actually doable and if so what are the limitations it would have.

It is doable as I have my storm on tmo. The limit is you can not use 3g.

So ive been doing my research and the only thing ive come up with is after unlocking a storm I need to do a few things via the PC in order to unlock everything i'd normally get on a BB other than at&ts 3g service. Does edge run as normal as it would on my 8310? Also, what OS version can I run?

I understand what features i can get and not get, but will i still be able to run OS .148 on the unlocked storm?

Your best bet is to try to find a 9500 on Ebay. The 9500 is 3G.
