I want to use a Storm on Tmobile. Does it matter which I choose?

I need to read and write Chinese emails.

Only difference between the 9530 and 9500 is that the 9530 has CDMA and GSM versus 9500 is just GSM. Both have support for many languages. 9530's are easier to get here in the US. I have a unlocked 9530 running on T-Mobile

IMO it does not matter because you will still only get edge and like what lukeg said the 9530 is easier to get here in the US. I have a 9530 on TMO and it works great and i have no issues what so ever.

9530 is more common in us. Do you plan on getting a data plan? If you go with vzw.

Thanks. I thought since the GSM only version has no CDMA to deal with, it may be less buggy. Given so many negative feedback on the Storm, I think I should keep my 8900 when I try out the Storm. I need the 3G of the Storm to roam in Japan. And, I always want to have that big screen, since I browse quite often.

The lack of 3g on the storm only applies to north american gsm carriers. You should be ok in japan regardless of which model you choose. Someone earlier mentioned edge only but that's not true. I run a 9530 on TMO with EDGE consistently.
