    high i have a storm for Verizon and i was wondering why mine always says EV and never 3g because my friends says 3g but he doesn't know how he got it like that

    anything im missing?

    EV=3G

    They use different marketing terms or call their systems a different name depending on the carrier.

    Ask him why his doesnt say EV? LOL

    but stick with 1xEV - otherwise you might have a problem with your SIM card

    It depends entirely on where you are at. The two networks are very close in speed.
