So i was perusing through the tips, hints, and shortcuts manual that came with the storm and came across the icon glossary. Now my question is my phone always shows 1XEV and never shows anything about 3G does this mean that my phone isnt operating in 3G? does anyone's phone every show the 3G icon

1XEV is Verizon's 3G EVDO network. If you have have 1XEV you are in 3G

See thats what i thought but im still confused then why a verizon manual shows and icon for 3G and then shows a seperate icon for 1XEV

for when your over seas and roaming it will show 3g
