I upgraded to .230 yesterday and ever since I no longer get the 1XEV displayed as my network. Instead I get the 3G displayed. Everthing seems to be working well. Just wondering if this is something I should worry about. Thanks.
This has been talked about many many many times. In .191 they started with the 3G symbol, however it is the same as 1XEV. No you shouldn't worry about it.

Nothing to worry about, Verizon's 3G network IS 1XEV (or EVDO), RIM just changed how it's listed in some of the most recently leaked 5.0 builds. 1XEV=3G
Wait, so after several dozen "What's 1XEV"/"Where's my 3g" threads RIM has decided to switch it up? So we should be ready for a bunch of "What's 3G"/"Where's my 1XEV" threads?
