Wondering if anyone is using a 32gb card with their storm. was going to buy a 16 because im tired of swapping out cards when i saw a class 6 32gb at newegg. Does anyone use a card this big on a storm that can let me know if this works? I would hate to dump 100$ on something that wont work on my phone.
Yes, you can install up to a 32 GB MICRO SD card in the Storm. They are expected to release this summer in that small format. Right now the 16 GB retails for around $100. I would expect that the 32 GB will release at $249 or so at the start. There are no 32 GB MicroSD cards available on the market yet. 32 GB full size SDHC cards are available everywhere for about the price mentioned. I use one in a Digital SLR camera.
I got a 16gb Micro SD card on Amazon for around $50 with shipping. The OS on the Storm *CAN* (confirmed by RIM, but I don't have the link handy to back up this statement) support up to a 32gb Micro SD card though.
nice to know that there are so many sarcastic tools running through the forums. The search on newegg pulled that one up for some reason when I was searching for a micro SD.
The question still is will they handle the 32GB card. Verizon told me today that they are not capable of anything greater than 16GB... Can anyone verify whether or not this is true?

Untrue.
32GB is within the capabilities of the Storm as it stands today.

Here's the limits on media cards with their respective Operating Systems...
BlackBerry Device Software version Media card size limit
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB
You obviously don't know how to legally back up your dvd movies to your hard drive and then convert and place them on your storm for viewing while at work etc. 32gb would be enough room for 20+ movies to choose from id wager depending on the conversion etc.

I can absolutely without a doubt confirm that VERIZON IS STUPID!
