    I was wondering more about the odd size... I didnt notice the date at first but than started to wonder how they ended up with 12, seemed strange?

    The 12GB didn't make it to market. The biggest they have right now is 16GB. I have one of these and I carry 2000 songs, 10 compressed dvd movies, 12 South Park episodes and a whole bunch of other crap and still have just under 3GB left. Late spring to mid summer they should be releasing the 32GB version.
