the tour has different internal hardware than the storm allowing it to have more app memory. The storm 2 will have the same amount as the tour at around 100 MB available for applications

The tour has 256 app mem compared to the storms 128....and 20 and 111 is all you had with your storm and tour? rookie....

Haha. I got plenty apps and a bomb *** theme(winberry 7 ultimate with today) and I boot at 46. I could easily get 54mb if I wanted.

I am running a hybrid and shrunk my os, taking out the docs to go and all support for other languages along with a few games. I boot at 49MB and I have around 10 apps installed right now. My memory leaks though, but I think it is due to weatherbug. It only drops a few MB a day so I dont worry about it. It runs the same to me at 15MB as it does with 40MB, but thats my opinion.

Base .148 install without any extra Verizon crap or languages and it boots with ~40MB free.

i run shrunk 151 straight (no hybrid or nething of that)
i never backup...i use security wipe including 3rd party apps n sync my contacts w/ google sync n manually install my 3rd party apps (minimizes mem leakage)
(the only thing i back up is my bbm contacts but that's in my memory card)5.0.0.320 > 5.0.0.428 > 5.0.0.451 > 5.0.0.497 > 5.0.0.509 > 5.0.0.517
