    Interesting observation, let's just call it that for now. Not meant to be critical as I'm BIG on .151. However, curious if others might see same type of issue.

    I installed .151 on my Storm, found that memory management was excellent for several days. Noted below in Orig1 and Orig2.

    I then installed a theme to evaluate and immediately saw my memory begin to tank. I did reboots, battery pulls, same tanking of memory. Noted below in New1.

    I removed the theme and went back to my original (3rd party) theme. Memory was still not as good as it used to be. I did reboot and battery pulls, nothing fixed this either. Noted below in New2.

    I reloaded .151 today and memory management is back to where it was when I first loaded the new OS. Noted below as Orig3.

    Here are my memory stats for comparison:

    Time____Orig1__Orig2_New1__New2__Orig3__
    Start-up 34.5 34.5 34.4 34.4 34.5
    2 Hours 33.8 33.9 33.8 31.6 33.9
    4 Hours 33.8 33.8 31.4 27.4 33.7
    8 Hours 33.3 33.6 26.0 27.1 33.5
    12Hours 33.1 33.3 27.6 26.8 TBD-but at 33.8 at 10hr mark

    Readings are after battery pull / start-up.
    Orig1 = Initial Install of .151
    Orig2 = Reboot after Install of .151
    New1 = New Theme added
    New2 = New theme removed, back to original theme
    Orig3 = Reinstall of .151 with original theme

    Just a note - I let Orig1 and Orig2 run for several days, never saw my memory run below 32.5MB the entire time. New1 and New2 held steady then in mid-20's. Only difference was install / removal of theme during this time.

    So, is this a quirk in the OS that when a theme is installed it causes the OS to be less efficient with management of memory (unclaimed cache file?)? Just seems to be too much of a coincidence that the leak started after the install of new theme and didn't clear up until I did a fresh install of .151 again. Maybe related only to the new theme I was evaluating, maybe it was poorly written, dunno.

    Would be interested if other experienced similar issues with .151.

    I noticed the same thing here. Running os .151, installed a theme......memory went to 0.0 MBs in three days. Now running original storm theme.....no memory loss so far.

    yes, some themes cause memory to leak. There are some that do this less and im sure if you browse the theme section you will find your answers.

    Some themes have always had problems with memory leaks. This is nothing new at all. Some rape memory to 0 in a matter of hours on some older OS. 151 does have better memory management out of all the OS we have seen so far

    I know some theme's cause memory leaks. But in this case I had removed the theme entirely and still experienced the memory issue. Only after I did a reinstall of the OS did the memory problem go away. That's what I think is the strange part. Is it possible then that an theme (or app?) with memory leak, even once removed, still leaves residual trace that causes the Storm to less efficient manage it's memory?
