| | --FREE 5.0 THEME-- The Cube Update #2 on 1/19/10 - OOOOOPPPSSS!!! My apologies to anyone who downloaded this today! Turns out I had a test SVG attached to my theme when I uploaded earlier today, so the theme did no work as intended! An easy way to tell if you downloaded an incorrect version is to touch the date. If it DOES NOT show the pop-up window with the calendar items, you have a bad version, please re-download. Again, sorry for the inconvenience!! UPDATE 1/19/10 - Added requested hotspot for WIFI setup (located at SSID display to left of connections hotspot). Changed message background for today area to display only when there are new messages. UPDATE - Added SSID for WIFI for Storm2 users, per request.
Wanted to do something a little different from my sliding dock type themes, and something with a different color set. Based around another eVeek wallpaper named The Cube.
There are 2 six item user defined hidden app circles, just tap the globe to hide/cycle through.
The today area has a background of its' own to make the text easier to read.
Hidden spots for:
Calendar - At Date
Messages - At Indicator
Clock - At Time
Profiles - At indicator
Connections - At Signal Meter
App Screen - Upper half of Homescreen
Teal-ish colors throughout the theme.
As always, enjoy, and donate if you so choose!!!

Rob:
Beautiful theme as always. There's no question that yours are the most artistic & functional themes out there - there are many others that go overboard on the artistic side (IMHO) but the themes look like they were designed by a hobbyist as they go overboard with an overuse of fonts & other elements. You themes are extremely well designed and very functional with thoughtful use of hotspots et al.
Could you please post the wallpaper from the home page so that I integrate it with BerryWeather?
And the blue brushed aluminum background as well?
TIA.

Rob:
Thx for adding the SSID.
My SSID is 12 characters - might it be possible to flip the position of the SSID & the WiFi logo so that the full SSID displays ?

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I'll look at it. The box for the SSID may just need to be bigger. Do you know if 12 characters is standard for the SSID, or does it vary?

Service Set identifier (SSID)
Service set identifier, or SSID, is a name that identifies a particular 802.11 wireless LAN. A client device receives broadcast messages from all access points within range advertising their SSIDs. The client device can then either manually or automatically—based on configuration—select the network with which to associate. The SSID can be up to 32 characters long.As the SSID displays to users, it normally consists of human-readable characters. However, the standard does not require this. The SSID is defined as a sequence of 1–32 octets each of which may take any value.
It is legitimate for multiple access points to share the same SSID if they provide access to the same network as part of an extended service set.
Some wireless access points support broadcasting multiple SSIDs, allowing the creation of Virtual Access Points, partitioning a single physical access point into several virtual access points, each of which can have a different set of security and network settings. This is not yet part of the 802.11 standard.
Also, I noticed in its current position that the low battery indicator overwrites the current position of the SSID - guess both fields are in the same location? |

No, they are not even close. Don't have a clue there, they should not interfere at all! I have moved the SSID to the bottom of the screen, and have expanded the box as large as I can. I will say that if the SSID can be as long as 32 characters, it is going to be difficult on some themes to get that much to display somewhere on the screen (for e.g., that is 9 characters longer than the longest possible DATE!!). I will try to post the update later today.
