So we may have found the solution to the OS .151 compatibility issue with the help of Scurvy. Before I post what it is, I need some people who are using all the different hybrids and such to test my theme out below. Thanks!
*Works for Most Themes* Developers:Under the app icon screen, click on the words "Icon Font" and click set to default. DO NOT touch it after this. This is what is causing the storm to not be able to load the app screen on the .151 OS.
This is reported as a fix that works on most but not all themes. This status is subject to change.
My app fonts are all default and 151 still does not work with them..sorry...It is truly a bummer
Yeah, I know. I tested on another theme and it didn't fix it. That's why I didn't post a thread with it as a fix. But it did cause a theme of mine to not work on 151. So for someone it might help.
OK, so the app icon fix worked for my theme and Brandon's. But there will still be some themes that don't work. Tron says he uses the default icon too. So what else is causing it?????
Tron do you change the color of the font? That affects it too.
I have in some, but evo is default and it will only work on lyricidicals(sp?).. same with the pro, and ibots..they are default everything, and 151 still does not work with them..
Well, all I know is there is a temporary fix. Since it seems like something that RIM can patch pretty easily, I'm not gonna fix EVERY one of my themes but if you do want yours fixed, just shoot me an email at [email protected] with your theme and I'll fix it for ya ASAP.
I have users on .151 and have reports that it is compatible. Note that I kept that font default from the beginning so it's not a conclusive report... but I do have that font set to default in my theme and it does work for people on .151
