Just so you know, although I love dark themes, they actually use more battery on lcd screens than the bright theme. This is because unlike the oled screens, lcd screens have all pixels lit up at all time. This means that black colors aren't really black because they're powered. So showing a black pixel takes more battery than showing a white pixel.

But.....if this device uses the same screen as samsung (super amoled) which is quite likely, then dark theme would in fact save battery life

If the screen is curved, it's OLED. Don't think a curved LCD is possible. I could be wrong. Not an expert on this, but I think I remember reading about that.

Actually, the product that has been shown to have weak demand is an all-touch BB10 device. We don't have a good comp to determine demand for a slider, but I'm guessing it'll help retain some people whose Q10s are starting to feel a little old.

    Posted via CB10
How did you work that out when the two best selling BlackBerry 10 devices (by far) have been all-touch. Over-production and poor marketing was the issue with the Z10, not the device itself.

Head over to the Z10 and Z30 sections of this site and the demand for an upgrade is high.

It just needs to be sleek. The thinner the better. More pixels for front and rear camera. Oh and it needs the Z30 sound.

Since you asked about it, I have to know, what is the obsession over getting thinner and thinner? Once you get thin enough so it's not clunky, how does getting thinner and thinner help you? To me, if a half millimeter means 150mah more on your battery, I'll definitely prefer that... Just my own opinion, I'm definitely interested to hear what you think about it.

For me I wouldn't want it to be thinner than a Z10, having large hands I fear a device that is too thin would become unusable (beyond the teething troubles of the iPhone).

If they'd make the phone as easy to work on as the Z30 I wouldn't care about removable battery.

My lights and proximity sensors went out on my Z30, I changed the mid frame and it came with a new battery, but the original one was still good after a year in service.

Actually my PlayBook battery is great too.

Not that I want the slider to have to be repaired as much as I've repaired my Z30. First the sensors then the bad OS from BlackBerry killed my screen. I started out with a white Z30 now it's black. Only the motherboard is original.

I need aggressive use of the curved edges. Chen said they'd use them, but as a child I said I'd clean my room. Never said I'd do it well. I believe that BlackBerry needs to start making better serves for this device to reach it's full potential. We all know that there is an app gap, but BlackBerry could make some of it's own apps to help fill it. An arrogated news app that streams headlines to the sidebar. A decent stock app. They need to integrate BBM with text so that we can see our conversations in one stream. A few other small things could help with the cool factor too. When a new song starts in the music player, the song info could scroll up the side on the curved edge. New email subjects could do the same. And the led thing that the edge does when it's turned over would be nice.

I want a keyboard that's better than/as good as the one on my Q10. The Torch 9800 keyboard was nice, but the keyboard was too small in comparison to the typical Bold model.

The Bold 9900 keyboard would be awesome for the slider. Not sure why they stopped making the curved keys, I could type so fast compared to the straight line of buttons. But as long as it's good quality I'm sure I'd get used to the straight line.

I kind of thought that with the Q10, but the Classic's keyboard is just big enough that it types just as easily as the 9900. Maybe even better, but not too sure about that.
