Starting to get a little concerned that there will only be android. Haven't seen any leaks or pictures or now people selling any BB10 versions

Try to do a bit search and you'll find a lot of discussions happening here and there. You'll find answers for your questions before even putting in this forum

When someone has an answer for that... I'm pretty sure Bla1ze will have it on the front page.

But if we were in Vegas... the odds would be against it based on what the do "know". But then sometimes the long-shots win.

Because it's intrinsically superior to lagdroid . Nokia pulled a "burning platform" move not long ago, didn't go well for them.

Chen listed to loyal BlackBerry customers when they said that they wanted the trackpad back. I'm hoping he listens to us again and releases a BB10 version of the slider, even if that means it gets released later than the Android version.

Just a few, Light Anytime is definitely the most popular.

I'm really hoping there is a bb10 version, I've had a Q10 since launch and have always wanted to try full touch, but love the physical keyboard too!

Let's hope so. Consumers and existing BlackBerry users need and want choice.

Just to throw my $.02 in, most of what's shown on the screen in some of the screenshots have Cobalt mods for the present BB10 Android runtime. That has limitations and the things that require Google Services either are missing functionality or won't run at all. That's the big complaint about the present runtime. Since Blackberry and Google now have a mutual agreement, I'm thinking there's a possibility that part of the agreement allows a fuller version of Android to be used and Google Services will run. Then the pictures that look like Venice is an Android device might actually be future publicity shots saying "Hey, look! Now you can have a BB10 device and still run anything that requires Google Services!".

My bet: carriers will only sell Android, shopblackberry will sell both Android and BB10 (for the diehards and enterprise customers needing ultra-secured COBO devices).

I assume you mean selling their hardware business and dedicating to windows phone?

    That hasn't worked for anyone.

Though I hate to admit it, moving to Android is BlackBerry's best chance for survival. If they cling to the poorly adopted BB10, it's basically committing to a slow (but highly dedicated) death.

I thought the leak said that the device will come with both OS and you have to boot one on initial setup. Hard reset to switch OS

My friend who works at BlackBerry told me there is only an Android version. That being said they had not seen the phone yet but we're expecting to get some more information this week when they were in Waterloo. Next time I see my friend I will ask for any more info.
