but I wouldn't mind the LG G4's camera, probably the best camera in a smartphone you can buy (excluding the Nokia 1020)
Partnership with LG next year...? Hopefully? (Guess that's not going to happen... or will it? lol keeping hopes high won't hurt )

Blackberry already has partership with samsung, so I doubt they would make with LG. But samsung seems to have slightly better hardware, so I don't think we are losing much

Yeah, but the important thing is how much of Samsung hardware can BlackBerry get? From the memory parts all the way to the Exynos processor? hopefully it has all the same internals as the S6 that way BlackBerry can save on some aspects of hardware R&D

If I know BlackBerry and we look at its history, there is a very low chance of there being a 810 inside the slider. If anything it will most likely be a 801 or possibly at absolute max 808. BlackBerry are known for their battery life and if there is a 810 processor inside, there has to be a 5,000mAh or something to make it last 30hours

Good point. Besides, I don't foresee them (historically) ever going above and beyond with specs when they obviously don't feel that it is necessary.

We can also take a look at the Passport and under John Chen, having top of the line specs is not so farfetched

These specs sound like a pipe dream. I'll be very pleased if true.

What's this about 64-bit? Is BlackBerry working on 64-bit BB10? I hope so.

At least the gorgeous screen has to be the same as the one in the S6 edge... no one would be developing a new screen like that for a broken company like Blackberry. Hope the camera will be ported form the S6 aswell, it has been having great reviews

By the time the slider comes out, the S6 is already a aged phone, so I don't think there will be a problem with blackberry borrowing all the underwear from the S6 because at that time, the GS7 won't be far from release

And it is most likely that BlackBerry will use the same platform (main board) as the GS6, seeing how they reduced the budget on R&D... (I might be wrong about that)

Looks like an awesome phone if they get it out towards the end of the year but definitely before 2016 otherwise it will be old news and all of the other manufacturers will be coming out with even newer things.

I know it's all about how the O/S performs and not about specs, but for once I'd like to see BlackBerry come out with something before anyone else. Sure they are innovative in design and with improvements to their keyboards etc but sometimes that isn't enough! They have to really WOW someone to win someone over

I agree, with the possible exception of the camera. I think the 13mp shooter from the Passport is more likely as BlackBerry seems determined to limit hardware profiles. That said, a 16mp shooter (whatever Sony is peddling this year) is entirely possible as well - probably not such a nag to optimize when compared with a new chipset.

At this moment, the only thing that's confirmed is BlackBerry are making a Slider Device that will come out sometime in the future

Most likely Sept - Jan (between then)

So the S6 active is getting a 3500 mAh battery. If Samsung is indeed shouldering the hardware load wouldn't be surprised if we get something similar.

This is what the original Passport should have had inside or the new Oslo. BlackBerry's slacking. Bet they'll be last to get the 820 chip to.

This is what the Passport should have had from the beginning. Devs would have loved it and BlackBerry may have started to get more quality native apps.

If blackberry does what it does the best then don't expect too much for the spec, we will see a passport clone internally if we're lucky

But then slider is this year's flagship (most likely) and passport is last years... and passport wasn't a clone of anything. So some new specs to expect from the slider!
