Just saw this article that the TCL 950 (the rumoured reference design which the Argon is based off of) is launching on September 28th. Isn't that the same date of the quarterly update from BlackBerry?

Nice find! Really hoping we hear something out of the revenue sharing call on the 28th in regard to new hardware/phones.

Would love for them to announce the Dtek60 and love more for an update/confirmation on some pkb device. Wishful thinking!

Actually page says DTEK60 might not be the TCL 950, note it says the 950 only has 1080p screen. DTEK60 has a 1440p screen.

Maybe just the same baseboard platform.

It's all the same stuff different pile. There's literally nothing that says BlackBerry can't pick and choose parts as they see fit. Take them all, let's see here:

    Idol 4S - 1440X2560
    Idol 4S Pro - 1920X1080
    TCL950 - 1920X1080
    DTEK60 - 1440X2560

It literally comes down to how much money does BlackBerry want to pay for the mish-mash of internals.

That's why I used the word "platform"... just like VW they can stick a VW badge it would be a Golf, and if they stick four rings it would be an A3...

    ...Seat or Skoda.

If it means BlackBerry still make devices then I'm all for it.

Just need new dteK (with keyboard) to be released with high end specs and it's party time!

Interesting to see how it works out especially so close to the DTEK50 product.

Pricing will be the key, as the specs are looking acceptable offering compared to similar devices.
