Ringtones/system sounds from 5.0 in OS 6.0?

Just wondering if it would be possible to transfer the default ringtones/system sounds from OS 5.0 into 6.0 for the 9700? As you probably know, 6.0 seems pretty limited for ringtones and system sounds compared to 5.0.

I had the same question and problem, I downloaded the notifications from here

http://ealvnv001.ea.ohost.de/zip%20f...0ringtones.zip

and just copy pasted them on my SD card... got all my notifications back how I wanted them

Edit: If I have the install file for OS 5.0 from my 9700, can I use those somehow? The sounds are slightly different to those from the 9000.

just find the correct .COD file in the JAVA folder.

I'll try that when I get home, thanks! As long as they aren't named the same as in OS 6.0, they won't overwrite the 6.0 ones on the device, right?

1. Install the OS6 release you are going to OR ALREADY HAVE installed on your phone.
2.Download the OS5 Ringtones file
3. Copy net_rim_bb_medialoader_ringtones_480x360_03_b.cod to the Java folder of the OS6 release.
4. Connect your phone to the PC and run Desktop Manager.
The ringtone file will now be copied to your phone and you will have access to OS5 ringtones.

You can also achieve the same thing by using BBSAK 1.9 to copy net_rim_bb_medialoader_ringtones_480x360_03_b.cod to your phone.
