Default Dial tone when talking

When I press a key to make a call I get a most annoying tone which doesn't end when i am connected. Te only way to silence it is to disconnect the call. Also, is I press a key, for instance in my pocket, I have to make a call and disconnect before it stops. I have tried using a silent profile, but if I turn up the sound (so I can hear a call) the problem comes back.

Have you tried using speakerphone? Tried a wired headset? Tried using a bluetooth headset?

Sounds like the speaker is going. Acoustic humming is sometimes often the result.
