Captcha for Downloads

Is it just me or is the Captcha process for downloading ringtones a pain?

it IS a pain, and most of the time it won't even display the "solve media" window so I can't even email the ringtones to myself! Crackberry site, what can be done about this?

i try and email myself a ringtone and the captcha thing comes up but no window opens for me to see - just the "submit" button but if i don't type something in, it won't send me the ringtone! anyone else having this issue???? So annoying!

Hey All,

Yeah, we recently added the Captcha to the download process on the main website. We tested and everything has been working ok it seems (download numbers staying consistent, etc.) so need more details from you guys as to what you're experiencing:

Let me know your device (computer or phone), browser you're using, which page you were on, and if you can even give me a screen cap of the error even that would be awesome. We'll try and debug.

Same as the other guys. NONE of the ringtones will download or email. It says "submit" but no window to type in and no CAPTCHA image to decipher. FRUSTRATING!!

here is a screen capture - am using a laptop, winxp....searched Christmas ringtones in Genre, tried any song, and clicked "email ringtone" - I get the captcha thing that comes up but no window with any display - just the submit button. It just sys "follow the instructions" but there ARE no instructions! used to be so simple to email ringtones....this is a frustrating process....thx for looking into it!

OK.. So I've been testing this and can't duplicate the errors you're seeing. I see a captcha every single time.

BUT.. I did realize that sometimes the captchas being delivered are in FLASH. Do you have flash disabled on your browser (or flash not installed) or maybe an ad popup blocker enabled? I'm guessing that could be the culprit here.

Let me know and will keep investigating. In the meantime, if you're stuck, you can download from the mobile site without issue (just put an m. infront of crackberry in the url and you'll be given the mobile version of the site).

Same problem here> Can't download or email because of the captcha feature, No window appears to tell me what to type into captcha. All that appears is the "submit" button. I've tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox; no success with any of them. It worked fine BEFORE captcha was added.

Kevin, I have flashed enabled on my computer and this is what I got when I tried to download a ringtone from here. I couldn't find the captcha to enter in the box. If anyone was in the same situation like I was, hit the "thanks" button so Kevin knows what we are talking about. Hope this is an easy fix Kevin.
