Can't Assign Tone to Level 1 Messages

My apologies if this has been posted before. My searches have come up empty.

I have recently moved from a Bold/9000 on USA/AT&T to a Torch 9800 on USA/AT&T. (Torch is Pretty good. When the 6.1 OS comes out, with the ability to turn off the homescreen tabs, I'll call it great)

I have a series of level one notifications setup in the AT&T BIS. They worked as I wanted on the Bold 9000.

On the Torch, I cannot get a selected ringtone to play for Level 1 messages. Messages appear to forward as level 1. (They are in red) However, the tone that plays is 3 quiet muted bell tones. I have monkeyed with my profiles ad nauseum, and cannot get it to play any other selected tone.

I need something far more obnoxious. (These are on-call support calls, and the phone has to be able to wake me up) Any suggestions?

Ok, sorry. So you went into Sound Profiles:

1.) Click on Change Sounds and Alerts
2.) Click on Sounds for Selected Profiles
3.) Click on Messages
4.) Click Level 1
5.) And you changed the ringtone/notifier to something louder
6.) hit Menu and then saved

If you did all of this, try it again and after step 6, try a battery pull.
