I notice that before my calls connect (calls that I dial) before hearing the ringing tone I always hear a single 'beep' tone...is there anyway to turn this off? It seriously annoys me.

weird that you say this. I was about to start searching why my 9700 has started this weird behavior. It is intermittent but I get the same beep sometimes as soon as I hit send. Might be a T-Mobile thing?

Yup, I've heard the same with my 9900 on TMo with stock .250 software.
