Ive had my q5 for about a week. I haven't had problems with it. Tonight I can't swipe it to unlock it. My touch screen is completely non responsive. Ive tried rebooting, but not helping. I will go to Telus in the morning, but I need access to my phone before they open. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey there,

For a temp workaround (if it works)

*start camera from lockscreen by tapping and holding camera icon.
*see if you can swipe up and minimize camera to an active frame#
*if it did manage, you can change lockscreen setting to allow unlock by on/off button in Settings.

#if you are unable to minimise camera to an active frame then it is either a software bug (try reloading device software through Link) or a hardware glitch- replacement I suppose...

Oh, I didn't read that the touchscreen is completely nonresponsive. Even the camera icon is not usable? Maybe OS reload or Hardware replacement are the only options.

worked for a few minutes late last night. (after hours of fiddling). I was able to turn off swipe and just use the button on the top. THis morning not working again and its not just the swipe. The whole touchscreen is unresponsive. Will bring it back when the store opens.

Yep, although you could do some workarounds to get past lock screen, looks like a hardware problem so i would try to have the q5 replaced
