    Hi everybody,

Is it normal that my old Curve 8530 has a better WiFi reception that my new Q5?

I get the same bad results with my WiFi signal with the 10.3.1.1865 update and after a complete reset to factory settings.

Can I do something to get a better signal? Is this a known issue with the Q5 that will be fixed by an update soon?

My router is a D -Link DIR- 615.

    Thanks a lot.

I don't know if it's going to be fixed but it seems to me that I have the same problem!
All the other devices are able to get more signal than my Q5, and this happens everywhere, not just at home.
    Hopefully there is a solution

Don't know what to say here. I've been getting a solid 5 bars with my Q5 since I bought it. Actually it seems to be working even better under 10.3.2.2339. You might try that?

Other than trying another router not sure what else you could do? Is your WiFi being hacked? Lol. Or maybe your living in areas with poor reception?

Q5 and Q10 share the same radio and there are complaints about weak WiFi on the Q10 also. Seems it all started with 10.3.1.xxxx. Maybe as more updates become available it will be fixed. I have not yet tried 10.3.2.2339. I hope that's better.

Same here, My Q5 disconnects from wifi when I leave the room where wifi router is installed. Other devices in my home keep getting wifi signals even 5 meter outside of my home and on 2nd floor too. I am now considering changing wifi antenna on this phone.

See below the signal strength at various distances:

-62 dBm at 1 meter from router

    -82 dBm at about 5 m

    -86 in adjacent room (about 7 m)

No connection if I move further.

Signal strength on my wife's lg is -49 dbm whereas on my q5 is -74 dbm at same distance from router.

I still have a really weak reception after the update. Do you think that replacing my router could help?

I've been having the same trouble: Garbage reception when even my nephew's $100 android phone and my own cheapo RCA tablet get five bars throughout my house, and I've got two routers close together.

I've made sure to set them so they're not crosstalking.

If anyone can post solid result with 10.3.2 it would be a big help. I'd be happy to, when I can get the update to work.
