The SQR100-1 is for North America. It will work fine.

The only issue is that AT&T never sold the Q5, so it is unsupported on their network. You will need to pop in a SIM from another carrier if you want an OS update (or do it manually).

We'll see what it ships with, and cross that bridge when we get to it.

I tried my SQR100-1 in AT&T, Cricket (Uses AT&T Network) and T-Mobile USA without any issues.

The SQ100-2 won't work in the US?

The 100-2 will work in the USA. It just won't have LTE frequencies. I just bought one and plan on using it primarily when I travel overseas but it should work fine domestically as well.

    4G or 3G?

LTE is a form of 4G but the confusion lies in that some WCDMA (originally called 3G) is also called 4G in the USA. You will get WCMDA in the USA but not LTE 4G. Not sure if the device will display 4G or not but it will not say LTE. You won't be getting the fastest possible data speeds but they might be fast enough for your purposes.

I just put my AT&T sim in the SQR100-2 and it displays 4G on the status bar. There is no LTE on the display.

It is not pink it is white. It is the same model as the pink you have and I am in the USA. I also have the SQR100-1 model and that displays LTE which you will NOT get with the SQR100-2.
