I bought a Q5 off of eBay because I saw it sitting there for only $20. The problem was that the OS that was on it at the time only allowed for some hardware testing and nothing more. I thought that I could flash a fully featured OS onto it using and autoloader. I wiped the phone first and then flashed the appropriate OS but it never worked at all. All I will get from it now is 1 long red flash followed by 6 longer red flashes. Is there any way to fix this?

I don't believe so, no. You might try sending it in to BlackBerry, but since you're not the original owner I doubt they'd fix it for cheap, if at all. There's a reason why it was $20.

If it was advertised as fully working you could try disputing it with eBay.

Thanks for the reply. No, I won't take it up with eBay. I thought this might happen when I purchased it. It's a little disappointing but totally expected. I still have my passport whenever I get that itch.
