Hi!
It seems like my Q10 caught a minor case of double letter illness. It will need servicing, once I get the time to send it in.
I was looking into getting a white Q5 as a meantime surrogate. I love the looks of that phone, I want to turn it into a Kopi-Looking device by getting a black case for it, maybe the flip case. I think all the different accents around the phone, black, white, black, would look great.

Anyway, I am using my black Q10 all of the time and do all kinds of crazy things with it:
Connect Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse, connect it to a HDMI monitor, swap batteries etc.

Now I wonder what of these things I would miss on if I switched to a Q5. Only the HDMI and swappable battery, right? And I could use Miracast by getting a dongle for my monitor instead, couldn't I?
Is there anything else the Q5 lacks compared to the Q10? Didn't somebody post a feature comparison sheet somewhere?

In addition to what you've mentioned, you may or may not miss the dark theme. Apps like CB10 will display the white theme versus the dark theme which you would have been used to on the Q10. Native system apps like the contacts and BBM are able to be toggled.

Other than that I don't think you'll miss much, perhaps battery life is another thing. The Q5 may have slightly less battery runtime than the Q10 due to the LCD screen (Despite having an ever so slightly larger battery).

Q5 has 2 GB of RAM.

Thanks for your replies.

The camera on the Q5 seems to be a lot worse compared to the Q10 camera. That's a major bummer.

Theoretically it should be the same setup as on the Q10. I believe the camera does not take too much of a hit, I've been looking at some Q10 samples and Q5 samples.

Miracast is Wireless

The Q5 just looks more and more appealing to me.
However, I wish I could see some comparison photos taken by Q5 and 10.

I went from a Z10 to a Q5 and the only thing I missed was the storage space. While you are asking about going from a Q10 to a Q5, I thought I'd add my experience since the Z10 is more on par with the Q10. I did not experience any performance issues.

LCD actually has benefits over AMOLED, processor is the same but just underclocked more.
