The autoloader on the Internet was super slow to load on the desktop. While loading files on Sachesi were more simple. Problem was that a complete wipe had to be done first to free up memory space on phone. Yes the autoloader would have worked better if it was quicker. I had a download time of 7 hours. Kind of pointless.

That's weird! You could also do an OS reload on BlackBerry link next time, downloads off BlackBerry servers and it's fast

You won't get an OTA update. The limited storage on the Q5 essentially makes that impossible. You can, however, use an autoloader.

On the Q5, on 10.3.2.2530, there's a problem with the maps, they don't allow you to get directions, It shows you the route though. Does 10.3.3 fix that?

I've had that same issue on 2 Q5's through multiple updates. Much diagnoses with other uses on BB's forums points to a hardware/timing problem. IMO I doubt it will ever be fixed.

Odd. No issues on my Q5 using GMaps.

Edit: My bad - you're talking about BB Maps.

    Identical to Q10 autoloader.

I can't imagine it does, but I'm also not about to try. There just does not seem to be anything in 10.3.3 worth upgrading to (from 10.3.2)

Nothing quite fancy that's making it worth the upgrade. I'm on a Q5SQR100-3/10.3.3.2163 now. Managed to flash it via the autoloader. I also have the Z30 on 10.3.2

I'm new to this device (BB Q5) and it's my second device (honestly bought it 2nd hand), now running 10.3.3 and everything works just fine (except some of android apps), but I don't see any difference or improvement from 10.3.2 tho

One reason to get the 10.3.3 is that the android runtime is broken in 10.3.2. It doesn't allow you to uninstall, and frequently crashes. This was supposed to be fixed in 10.3.3.

For a q5, not being able to fully uninstall apps, with its limited storage is a major deal.

That only happened with the last 10.3.2 build, and was fixed with an update through BlackBerry World.

That update failed for me. It just hung. For hours. Multiple times. Its suggested everywhere as a fix, but so far as I can tell it doesn't work. Maybe that was because uninstallable android apps were eating up all my space!

10.3.2 is the latest supported bb10 for q5. 10.3.3 isn't supported for q5. So its not "last", its current.

I just used that desktop app, I forget the name to simply update sys.android and android.shell to 10.3.3 (not the whole upgrade, just the android runtime)
    Worked a treat.

If anyone is out of space, that would be my suggestion, that and the cobalt suite (you can't properly delete android apps anyway without access to android settings - doing it via blackberry doesn't work, if you have a working runtime or not, it doesn't work. Doing it via the playstore etc doesn't work either. You need "google id", from there you access android settings, and only once you have a working runtime can you from there actually uninstall android apps).

I struggled for over a year with constantly tiny space on my internal drive. Only a handful of installed apps could ever be done. I had no idea it was this. What I basically has was more than a dozen invisible still installed android apps. That still actually run, I just generally couldnt access them. They appeared uninstalled. They were not.

That is to say, if you uninstall android apps, they don't uninstall properly unless you specifically use google ID, android settings, and a working runtime. They are still on your device. Hence, major major space problems for the Q5 which only has what is it 8gb internal?

I have 29 blackberry and android apps install now, having fixed this, including a decent android game, ontop of core apps and the cobolt suite. And that does only leave me 600MBs, but it feels a lot more like a modern usable phone.

I couldn't have imagined being able to install that many apps, a few months ago on my device.

More importantly, do Q5 or Z3 owners, due to small amount of internal storage, really want or need anymore updates?

You can use an autoloader. Doesn't increase the OS space. But there's not real point in the update unless your experiencing bugs. Has zero new features.

I noticed recently that I can select an email sync interval of "forever". Previously, I think the limit was 90 days. Is that a new feature in 10.3.3?
