My Blackberry Q5 is neither off nor on. All the device is doing is flashing the word "Blackberry" on the screen. I can't get it to do anything else. I have tried taking the SIM in and out, I have tried pressing the On/Off button, and I have tried pressing the On/Off button and the volume button simultaneously.

Try holding both the vol up and vol down buttons down at the same time. After approximately 15-20 seconds, it should start the reboot process and you can let go of the buttons.

It sounds like you have a real problem if it is stuck in reboot though.

    Good luck.

I'm having the same problem. I'm hoping a new battery will fix it
