Just got my Q5 and loving it. OS10 was a good wait.

I do have 1 issue with it though and I suspect others have seen this already but I can't seem to find anything on here so probably searching wrong.

After opening the Music app I select Library and then Album.

A number of my albums appear multiple times. Each then has a few of the tracks listed inside each. The files themselves are all stored in the same album folder. All the files have the same tag info as well.

Anyone seen this before and can you advise what I do to correct this? I like to be able to play 1 album start to finish and this is messy at the minute.

It probably has to do with the different artists featured on each track. Your best bet is to make a playlist. Or go through with an mp3 tag editor and manually change everything. I'd go the playlist route for ease

All the tags are the same apart from the track.

There are a couple of other albums that stand out with the same issue, but they are by the same artist so for those the tags are again identical apart from the track.

Did you use a tag editor to check, or are you just looking in file explorer? Either way, make a playlist for now. Also, update your software for good measure

Yep I used mtag for the album in the picture but the other albums were bought as tagged.

I will double check the tags and post an update.

Hmmmmm...leaving the individual track artists as they are, but changing the album artist field to various artists or something similar, might bring these back under one album.

Have checked the tags and they are all correct. They all have the exact same album info. Weird. Will connect to a PC and try them again from there and see if there is something I am missing.

Are you importing from iTunes? How does it have them layed out?

Here is an idea -

It'd be nice to have "Folder View" option. If you select that view, your music will appear based on your folder tree. Instead of reading / organizing based on mp3 (which can be often incorrect/inaccurate), organize based on folder layout. Filename becomes the title of the music.

dont worry music player has some updates coming to it alot of customization tehre's a video somehwere online..I just want EQ tools.
