Hi all, I just purchase a Q5 to see how the keyboard is. I tried the Q10 for 9 months, but I could never get used to that keyboard. I can still type faster and more accurate with the 9900, even when I finally pulled it out again last week to fire it up again. I'm not sure it the Q5 will be better, but I do read a lot Q5 owners are happy with the keyboard versus the Q10; not all of course. My question is this. I'm going to load 10.3.0.1054. Is this working well for everyone long as it is a clean install? Also, will I be able to keep the Q10 fully loaded with all the apps I purchased and load the Q5 with them and switch back and forth between the phones without a lot of hassles? Is this possible? If I do switch between devices on Link, will it wipe out the Q10 apps? Thanks for your help in advance. I should get the Q5 today in the mail, so I'm excited to give this phone a test drive.

Hi there, your apps on BB10 is tied to your BBID, so will your BBM contacts. So just 'switch device' on BBM and all your apps and contacts will move to the Q5, and you can security wipe the q10.

Also did you mean 10.3.0.1154? which has bug fixes over 1052

I love my Q5 and I have it completely updated with latest 10.3 leaks and apps and it runs wonderfully. It actually runs better with 10.3 than with 10.2.1.

I can't offer a comparison to the Q10 as I never used one but I did previously own Bold's and a Torch and I find the keyboard on the Q5 to be excellent.

I think the Q5 has been an under rated phone and for the price, it's fantastic.

Hi All, thanks for your inputs. I appreciate it. Bummer though, as I received the Q5 yesterday, but the wifi isn't working so it is being sent back right after the post. But I can say this, that keyboard rocks!!! I can finally type just as fast as I did with the 9900. Using the Q10 for over 9 months, I could never type as fast and accurately with the Q10. But now I see why some like the Q5 over the Q10. I hope the next one that I just ordered works and I'll be one happy camper. I was also impressed with how well it felt in my hands. It didn't feel as cheap as I heard and thought it would be. It felt solid even without a case. Once I get a case and the tempered glass screen protector, it is going to be perfect and feel even more solidly built. Thanks again.

I think you can expect updates, depending on your carrier of course, once the Classic is released. That's looking like just a few weeks away. The Passport is being released next week and maybe we'll have a better idea then when the Classic (and the 10.3.1) will be available.
