... and sticking with Q5. It's good for the 5700 emails in my inbox and pocket-friendly for constant carrying. It comes with me jogging so I don't need to sync an ipod. Bigger is not better always.

I think most kids wouldn't really notice a difference at that age. The only thing a 13 year old is worried about is texting and games. Both should be sufficient on the Z10, but the Apple ecosystem is likely more attractive.

I'm also interested to hear what your 13 year old thinks.

... well the 13yr old is all about texting, instagram and YouTube. he gets all of this from the z10 and loves it-- relative to *not* having it -- BUT he would choose an iphone in a second for sure. That's just the way it is unfortunately.
On a side note: big media beware-- my kids watch YouTube and netflix... maybe 10% the 'regular ' TV.

i also gave my 13 yr old son z10, and he seems to love the same, as he hates apple products for reasons known to him, he says he love blackberry over apple.

Yeah in my year at school (13-14 year olds) most people go for the iPhones and just sit on instagram, facebook and BBM all day. No one really chooses Blackberry anymore, they think they are the same old BBOS even when I show them my Z30 they still don't understand

Yes... is better for email. as good as z10 is, there is no replacement for the physical KB. I imagine the q10 is v nice--- but I don't have one so... there u go... ;-)

I am close to buying a cheap q5 as a second phone, not sure why as I love my all touch z10. But something intriguing about it I want to try, btw the q10 doesn't appeal at all, nor the upcoming classic?
