I have the Z10 but I want the blackberry feel of a keyboard, the Q10 looks great and all but it's expensive. Hoping Q5 will cost a lot less

There have been speculation that the phone may fall into the $200-$300 price range.

From what I understand the 200~300 range is for buying the phone outright. I'm guessing it could be free on contract in the US...

If it's under $250 ill be picking one up for my brother from eBay. The q10 is way too pricey at $600 off contract.

Your reasoning? That seems unreasonable when you compare similar competition phones for $200, not to mention those don't have physical keyboards nor 2GB ram

I highly doubt it will be around $250. My guess is more around $350-400. The important thing to remember is that this phone has pretty good specs. 2GB RAM, a dual core processor, 2100 mAh battery. You won't get a phone with those specs for $200, at least not one with a good modern OS. This phone will be cheaper than Q10, but not that cheap. Remember, it's not a low end device, it's a mid level device.

Indeed, this is clearly the bb10's 9360 or 9790 rather than a 9320, which will come later when the components drop in price sufficiently to support that end of the market.

This should indeed be the price range. If BB deliver a quality school package and market it at the audience Q5 would be a hit.Especially here in London UK.

Vodafone in 2012 superbly marketed BB devices. It was even a great ad ,but it was powerful many, many kids and parents got blackberrys because of those bumblee ads.I dont know who was the marketing team but BB need to use them they are good.

Carrier pricing is irrelevant if you aren't buying it subsidized. Just waiting to see if there's a US price, not an import. Manufacturers do sell unlocked phones directly even if carriers do not sometimes

Ah, but if you knew the American market, you would realise that phones are always cheaper over there, compared with the UK.
