Got a white Q5 that's my backup and also what I use when I need a hotspot. It's got a cracked screen but that antenna is still the best.

I'm using Q5 since yesterday. This is my first BlackBerry and really this is the most interesting device and OS so far. I was with the Android from the begining, some lumias lately. But now i realized i missed something during those years

I've had a Q5 for about 3 months now. I was fed up with android and the way its changed over the years plus the fact that there were no good PKB options. Productivity was meh as well. So I gambled 45 usd on a refurbished Q5 and now I'm happy as can be. You guys know how what I mean.

I should have probably posted years ago! Haha! I have been a 'stealth' crackberry user for over 10 years now! I have had the Q5 as my primary business phone for almost three years now. Bright red and I have loved every moment of it. Those were the days when the Q5 was also not that cheap - relatively of course.

Lately I have run into some slight issues and I was hoping to get some opinion from fellow Q5 users.

The 'alt' key is now starting to get less responsive. It has to be pressed a little hard for it to work. And of course the battery is now showing signs of ageing. I did go to blackberry to have the battery replaced but the price they quoted me is the price of a new Q5 today!

Any suggestions about the keyboard will be most appreciated. I wonder if taking it apart and cleaning would help at all?

    Thanks!
    Santosh

I just got it last weekend. It was given to me as used but great shape. It is very nice. I'm so used to Passport keyboard, so needed a little adjusting time.
But it's came back to me after short use. It reminds me Curve keyboard.

Will use as backup when I need something small & just use for phone calls & text.

They are easy to get apart. Parts are cheep online. You have low cost options to extend its life. You can do it!
Just be careful when taking it apart. It's fragile around the headphone jack. I have all kinds of spare parts to keep mine alive.

I have one as a work device, not a bad little thing...works well through all the abuse (industrial mechanic) as well as all my personal BlackBerry's in the past have. I still enjoy getting back on my Passport at the end of the shift though.

When I compare q5 forums with other device forums I can see answers for most questions and doubts are very less and just curious how many q5's are still living in pockets!?

    Sent from qualified q5
One white and one red Q5, plus the BB ☺

So we have at least a hundred members with Q5, right?
