    Well basically I want to disable the camera as when you do the close app gesture it just bypasses the password

    Just made a test on mine, it works fine (it doesn't bypass the password). Are you sure the phone is really locked? Maybe it is just having the screen off and the lock is not activated (because the lock interval setting is different from the screen timeout).

    No it doesn't. This actually made me laugh. Try this for proof:
    1. Hold down power button for 3 seconds
    2. Press LOCK
    3. Turn on your phone
    4. Open camera app
    5. Swipe up to close

    You'll immediately be presented with the password screen which you must fill with your device's password to get into your phone

    Can you actually explain your issue better because it actually isn't working this way as per this post below - i just tried myself and it does what it is supposed to do!

    It's probably bypassing the password because the phone hasn't been inactive long enough to re-lock itself

    yes, it bypasses the password screen. but for camera photoshoot only.

    you cannot do ANYTHING else (cannot browse photos as it says devices is locked.
