So. Nothing really new but it seems like battery life is good and build quality is not so great. Interesting that he mentioned the bezel on the 5 is better for swiping up gestures. To me that's an important point. I still believe bb made a mistake while building the q10 with more or less no bezel between screen and keyboard. I am going for a q5. Only problem....which colour to choose? White or black. The Q5 definitely needs a case due to build quality.

That's because Q10 is most likely some "most recent" Bold replacement that was really not meant for BB10.

That doesn't make sense because it lacks the trackball. If they had redesigned a replacement for the Bold and then repurposed it, there would be more space between keyboard and display.
And anyway, I disagree. Using a Q10 next to someone with a Z10 yesterday, I think that the Q10 is actually the one that works best with BB 10. BlackBerry DNA means that the most love is always going to be expended on the hardware keyboard version.

Si! What does that mean? It's software so why should they do this. I wouldn't buy one without hotspot functionality.

Yeah people would be surprised the kind of stuff carriers block depending what part of the world you are in and the government polices etc.

Just wanted to say the same. Sometimes carriers tend to block certain settings, sometimes even depending on your contract. Options simply get blocked out of the system because of that. Some Bold 99x0 users also had no hotspot option, even though they updated to several OS7.1 versions - their carrier simply didn't allow it. Same with mobile network connection settings. I have plenty of options to select from on my Q10: 2G only, 3G only, 4G only. 2G+3G, 2G+3G+4G, 3G+4G.Yet quite some people on the Q10 forums aren't able to just enable 2G only or disable their 4G network - obviously their carrier just doesn't want them to.

I noticed that as well. Seems they left more space with the Q5 to allow for the up swipe... Curious that they didn't catch that on the Q10! I don't own either device but looking at the pics online, they certainly could have allowed for more room on the Q10. Oh well...

Good to see that the battery life is close to the Q10. Would have hated to see them be dumb and put in an undersized battery like they did with the Z10.

Just hope for battery technology to advance faster because clearly nothing has changed lately. Maybe BB will consider releasing a new battery when that happens, who knows.
