You might have been joking, but with that logic the Classic>Q10 correct?

had both, q10 is better, there's not a lot in it though,
The 8Gb storage on the Q5 is a problem because you have to uninstall almost everything to update the phone as you will always get the not enough storage to update delete something message.
    q10 has removable battery.
    q10 has video output
    q10 is marginally quicker
q10 has better phone and wifi reception

    downside of q10
the supposedly superior keyboard is not superior to the q5 keyboard, it looks nicer, feels nicer but many phones suffer double type issue and even with perfect kb I think its possible to type quicker on q5.
although its a tough phone it shows marks and scratches more than the q5

Very true lol I've only ever held one once and it wasn't even turned on but I have used a Q10 and it was just as powerful as my Z10, plus the keyboard was amazing!

I was kinda joking lol but the classic and the Q10 have basically the same specs, while the Q10 has noticeably better hardware than the Q5

I have both but Q10 is my main phone. I just pulled out the Q5 today to add a few on sale apps and couldn't help loving the larger app icons on my Q5 because I have not updated to 10.3 yet and still have 10.2 loaded. For that reason alone I will not update untill forced too.
Both are great phones and the weight of the Q5 along with the bright display would really make me hesitate if I had to give up one of them.

I returned my Q5. No memory, the keypad is a nightmare, my fingers are far to big for the keys......

I'm getting a Q10.. more memory, keypad feels better, just an amazing phone...
    .

I completely agree with the previous post.

I'm on the Q5 full time now and very happy.

My double typing Q10 is officially retired and there is no interest here to buy the bigger, heavier Classic which incidentally is also reporting double typing problems.

the first and most important that comes to mind is that Q5 has a 42.2 mbps 3G+ connection and this makes it one of a few BB10 devices that have one (the others being the Classic and Passport), while the Q10 has only a 21.1mbps connection.

Sauce? AFAIK the Q10 has HSDPA+ (42Mbits) as well. As does the Z10 or even the PlayBook. The Q5 on the other hand lacks 5Ghz WiFi, which is quite the bummer.

if you are referring to this....Quad-band 4G UMTS/HSPA+ 42 that is for the Tmobile's marketed name of their hspa+ 42.2 mbps network they are referring to and not the q10s feature for reaching that speed?

if am not mistaken Tmobile is marketing their 3g+ or 3.75G network as a 4g Hspa+ 42 mbps network in the US and that's what they are using there to name their network in the spec sheet.
could you tell where does it says 42.2 mbps in the second link?

You need to separate what a phone can do and what a mobile provider offers.
    Settings>networks and connections>mobile network>network mode>4G&3G (and other options).
    I live in europe. I have Q10. I have 4G. I choose 3G&2G setting.
