Just found this article aboun canadian carrier Bell who is putting the Q5 in EOL (End Of Life), the same thing is happening in Romania where Vodafone is doing the same thing with the Q5 an Z10. I think that Blackberry is preparing the market for the Classic an Passport and maybe a cheaper version of the Q5.

Blackberry does not control when a carrier places a device on EOL status.. this simply means the carrier is not ordering any more stock of those devices. Likely because they have plenty of inventory for the next little while and would like to sell it down before the new models are released.

Also in this case it makes sense to deplete the shelves of the Q5, as the price of the existing Q10 inventory will be reduced significantly when the classic launches and there is no need for 2 lower priced qwerty models on the shelves at once.

in Hungary T-Mobile put EOL for Q10 and Z10 but not for Q5, actually they have a single Q10 in the whole country now that hasnt been sold in 5 months!
