Went to see if I could still get a koodo Q5 bit even though they had one on display they specifically stated they no longer carried it anymore for months but the words they used was discontinued model! I was forced to inform the clerk that it us not discontinued just you won't stock it
But Koodoes to Telus in Place vertu in Montreal for having blackberry z30 and q10 on a main display front and center and the clerk was well informed.

It's still listed on their site for both Fido and Koodo.

Reality is they haven't been stocking much BB stock for quite some time. When I got my Z30, my local Best Buy had exactly one in stock, and luckily for me it was a Telus model. Another store I was at couple weeks prior had only one and it was Bell.

It's all better than a Best Buy I went to in Washington state last week. They had exactly zero of any BB stock of any kind, whether phones or accessories. Literally.

    I think it is discontinued.

The 150 buck price for the handset tells me they are wanting to blow out their inventory

It was only Koodo selling them for $150 online I believe.

Blackberries were not available for Koodo at FutureShops. I assume that Best Buy did the same thing.

Sorry for being inaccurate about the Q5 not being available but the last time I visited FutureShop they did not have any BB devices available for Koodo maybe it was only available at certain stores. They did not however carry the Z10 for certain in AB, NB or online when i purchased mine last year. I checked with them multiple times as I wanted to tranfer my protection plan to it from my SIII. I'm not 100% sure if they ever carried the Q10 but it wasn't available in my area when I checked.

IIRC all of the current range of BB 10 models are no longer being produced.

Pretty soon the only BB available to buy new will be a Z3 and the other stuff made by Foxconn.

I once went in to buy a dial up modem for people who only had dial up internet. The sales person laughed at me and told me that's not what I needed. I told him yes it was, and he insisted it wasn't. I said I should know because I built the computer. He gave me the slow clap and a smug look and said "Good for you".

I walked out and bought one at the store across the street. It was $20 cheaper and didn't have the attitude included.

Sometimes you just gotta exercise your option to walk across the street.

That's what you get with minimum wage kids though. A lot have no idea about what they are selling. You'll get a few good ones but chances are you'll get stuck with a clueless clerk

Why are you going into shops to buy things? Do you live in areas where online stores don't deliver?

I prefer to go into a store... most because I want the item RFN

I usually research my tech buys and don't get caught up into buying stuff I don't need. There's something about browsing in a store that's much better then browsing online

From now on, if I buy any new BlackBerry devices, I will buy them off BlackBerry's own website. No hassle and much easier. At least THERE, they will have what you're looking for.
