I'll be receiving my Q5 June 10th from Amazon. I ordered the Red Model, Unlocked for $129.99 but I digress, what apps would be best to get in terms of security, games, and more. Thank you.

Download 1mobilemarket and you can load any android app through it. I am running everything from Angry Birds, to Slingplayer for my Slingbox, to wifi analyzer. Even have a Kodi app.

I don't recommend 1mob, takes too much space and the q5 is only 8
    Get cobalt's Google play

Agreed, nothing beats the Playstore for now (at least for me!)
    Paid apps + Chrome = 👌

Yeah I tried that 1mobilemarket based on another recommendation here and it seemed spammy and potential dangerous to me. Weird selection of apps and distinct lack of several apps I searched for that I use.

I'd also recommend the good old BlackBerry app Nobex if you're a radio or podcast fan. Only other apps I use are NBA Game Time and Spotify.

Enjoy! The Q5 is a great device.

I agree with the point above about Q5's limited space and using low-footprint apps.

I love streaming audio (podcast/radio) from my Q5. Agreed with the Nobex recommendation, but only for radio; I don't like how it handles podcasts.

For podcasts, I really like Antennapod (Android). Lightweight and works beautifully on the Q5.

    Other apps I'd recommend:
The built in Music app for true FM radio
    Songza (Android)
    gNewsReader (paid native for Feedly)
    The Weather Network (native)

Great phone all around, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Let us know how the new purchase and apps turn out!
