Have you tried restarting your phone?

Is it a specific app that you are not getting instant preview in? Or is it all apps? Is it a specific user you're not getting Instant preview? Or is it all users?

When someone BBM me i dont get instant preview. I have to goto the hub to read the BBM.
Or of course open the BBM app itself.

All other instant previews work correctly.
I have gotten BBM from 15 different people while I'm in many different apps.. still no go.

I have restarted my phone using the power button.
And i have also restarted my phone using the "hard reset method" (pressing both volume keys @ same time, and holding)

So yes i have restarted the phone.
And yes it is all BBM contacts.
And yes it is not working in all apps.

Try, if you have not already, going into the notifications section, open up BBM section and ensure that instant previews is enabled for BBM. Could be as simple as that, or not...what version are you running?
