Can I ask how long you having been using it and what don't you like about it? I'm just curious. I'm use both a Z10 and the Q5 and find the typing experience excellent on both devices. Different, but excellent. So I'm curious to know what other people who use the devices think about them, especially folks with such strong opinions such as yours.

I don't like the feel of the button or response after pressing them. I'm using a Q10 at the mo, and love it.

I'm the opposite, I like the spacing of the keys. This way I make less errors and spelling mistakes when typing long emails or messages. When I tried the Q10 it felt too cramped and I actually made many more mistakes on that then my Q5

I find on the z10 when I used it the swipe keyboard was neat but inefficient.

Typing on the z10 without the swiping feature created the same auto correct errors as all the other phones.

Keyboard phones there are less errors. I almost never have to hit back space. I type without looking at the keys at all on the q5.

The best part is I use the phone when I am on a q5/q10. Sending text messages or facebook, even emails I don't worry about how long I ramble on. When I used z10 my answers would be short and to the point. On the z10 often one word answers, and sometimes I wouldn't even reply.

This long winded post here, didn't bother me at all.

I think double typing error has something to do with the space between keys. Most occur on q10 but I hardly see anyone with q5 have this problem. My friends using q10 and 99 have double typing too, but my q5 and 9360 havent

I didn't have any double typing error with my Q5 yet. Also, I bought it from Koodo for 150$ off contract. I'm with Telus so I didn't need to unlock it.

Does the Q5 double type? That's the problem I'm having with my Q10.
No double typing on the BlackBerry Q5.

Was at a koodo booth and it was 200 for me, it did work fine with my telus card as well. Feel ripped off.

Well, it has already been reported a couple of time that to have it at 150$, you had to buy it online as a gift, so you don't have to choose a plan. That's what I did.

Perhaps yours is unlocked? Well, at least you didn't have to wait for it and got it directly at the booth.

I want a Red Q5 for 150 dollars. I wish they sold them to the US

I need something to type fast on. I've been typing on glass for 14 months. I'd say that is a long enough time to know for sure I miss my zero mistake typing they I had on my 8530 and 9810. Could type as fast as I could think. In the dark. Blindfolded.

Q5 would be great for me until they make the slider of my dreams. Or even a large screen candy bar with a tool bar.

Purchased mine in US for $200 bucks on Amazon.com !! It's a great phone, battery life and keyboard allow for great productivity !! I don't use the Android Apps, so doesn't impact me. I prefer saving web page shortcuts of mobile pages to my device rather than the Android versions.

If I can find an SQR100-1 Red on Amazon for 200 I'd do it.

Do you have a link? I've not been able to locate.

I am taking this q5 back in a day or two anyway. My q10 and q5 are having the lcd screens replaced for a total ot 200 bucks, so this 200 koodo phone is going to be a rental.

Yes. Koodo has 2 prices on line - $150 on monthly plan and $200 on prepaid.

With the $200 version you get a prepaid sim card and upon activation of your pre paid plan, you get a $20 credit, so in effect you are paying $180. But I guess since you are using your existing Telus sim card, you don't get the $20 back.

With the $150 version, if you want to buy it outright and go on a pre-paid plan, you have to go to the local Koodo booth and pay $20 for the prepaid sim card. You get the $20 back credit when you activate.

Sooo... for most people the difference is actually $30 ($180 vs. $150) and the extra $30 you pay in partly made up for the convenience of not having to make the trip to the mall to get a pre-paid card from the Koodo outlet.

Either way, its a great deal for an under rated great phone.

That is what surprises me I guess, I have never found the q5 lacking anywhere. It does everything wonderful.

Probably one of the most under rated phones recently.

Found this white one for $203, you can always throw a red case on it, would look pretty cool. Just noticed that it was an SQR100-3, that's what I'm using on AT&T.
