It is very strange but my Q5 bought from Orange in France is saying it has two 1.5GHz CPU inside and is named as MSM8960 like the one in the Q10 and Z10. Shouldn't it be a MSM8930?

No, Q5 has the exact same internals it's just underclocked. The processor will read right but that's not what you're getting.

Interesting. Apart from the keyboard and NFC support that looks very similar to the corresponding info from my Z10 (STL100-3). The major difference is probably Board type: R070 in the Z10.

Not really that interesting at all as far as I can tell. It's the way it is and is supposed to be. Is there some unnoted difference that I'm not aware of with EU Q5's?

People quote this but it just seems to be a regular file, when does the file get updated?

    Arhh I see at boot

Hey. I have the same response with you. I have reading of 1.5 Ghz of processor by using your method of checking, or with apps Meet My Device. So what is this exactly? Isn't this Q5 has 1.2 Ghz instead of 1.5? (sorry for my bad english)

Well on Z10 STL 100-1 it shows 1008 MHz... But apps show its 1.5(1512MHz) its probably a boot thing that 1008 is the cpu clock at boot up. And when the phone boots up the correct speed takes place, maybe thats the case with the q5.

    Ok thanks,
I really thought this was strange. I still don't get why constructors would underclock a processor though...
