    I'm heading to Australia from Canada for a few weeks, will my Q10 SQN100-1 work on the networks there? Gonna do some diving and surfing

    Yes, I'm sure some of the bands are compatible. Not sure you'll get 4G as much as you would if you had a 100-3, but you should certainly be able to roam/use a local SIM there.
