I've never tried connecting through wi-fi direct, but I have had success sharing photos and files through NFC with an Android phone. Try that to see if it works for you.

NFC speed is too low to transfer anything....

Wi-fi direct isn't working for me either, have to use slow bt connection to share apk files from my Android phone. Has anyone a solution? Thanks :-)
P.S.: wtf I just typed all that without a single double typing accident?!? Seems like the piano trick I read somewhere here actually helps.
