Anyone know why when my Q10 would ask for PIN (SIM Security) code when my phone is unlocked? I took a working regular size PetroCan SIM and cut it down to micro size. The SIM Card settings on the phone shows Unlocked for all three settings (Network, Network Subset and Service Provider) when no SIM card is present or when i successfully used Roam Mobility in the State

I called PetroCan and they couldn't help. They suggested 1234 but that didn't work. Any insights? Unfortunately, i only have 2 more attempts left. Thanks for your help.

A sim lock code can be put on a sim card. It's not a device issue.
If you were able to put another sim in and test, that would be ideal

Weird. Tried SIMs from both Bell and Virgin with no issue.

Not weird. It's just your sim has a lock code. By trying other Sims and they work, you just proved sim issue.
